Welcome to my blog recounting my unforgettable ten-day adventure in Portugal, exploring its picturesque landscapes and rich cultural heritage.

As a park ranger, I’m accustomed to natural wonders, but this journey immersed me in the historical and culinary delights of this beautiful country.

My journey began with a tantalizing introduction to Portuguese cuisine in Porto. From savoring traditional dishes at local markets to dining in charming cafes, each bite told a story of generations preserving culinary traditions.

The following day, guided by a local expert, I wandered through Porto’s ancient streets, marveling at medieval architecture and learning about its famous Port wine production.

Day 3 to Day 4: Douro Valley Day Trip & Transfer to Lisbon via Coimbra

Venturing into the Douro Valley was a highlight, where terraced vineyards stretched across rolling hills. Tasting the region’s renowned wines while cruising the Douro River provided a deeper appreciation for Portugal’s winemaking heritage. En route to Lisbon, I explored Coimbra, a city steeped in academic prestige and medieval charm, a perfect blend of history and youthful energy.

Day 5 to Day 6: Discover Lisbon with a Local & Day Trip to Sintra, Cascais, and Estoril

A day trip to Sintra, Cascais, and Estoril added a touch of royalty and natural beauty, from Sintra’s fairytale palaces to Cascais’ sun-drenched beaches.

Day 7 to Day 8: Transfer to Évora – Guided Visit & Relax in Algarve
