Chapter Trail

Day 1: Arrival and Athens Highlights Tour & Dinner

Our journey began in Athens, where a private driver greeted us at the airport and whisked us to our accommodation. After settling in, we embarked on a private guided tour of Athens, uncovering hidden gems and iconic highlights. The day concluded with a sumptuous dinner at a traditional Greek tavern, setting the perfect tone for our adventure.

Day 2: Athens - Acropolis Tour

Day 2 was a walk through history. We explored the Acropolis, marveling at ancient ruins such as the Parthenon, Propylea, Temple of Athena Nike, and the Erechtheion. The visit to the New Acropolis Museum further enriched our understanding of Athens‘ glorious past with its impressive exhibits.

Day 3: Journey to Crete - Heraklion

After breakfast, we headed to the airport for a short flight to Crete. Upon arrival in Heraklion, we checked into our hotel and spent the rest of the day relaxing and exploring the city at our own pace.

Day 4: Crete - Knossos Palace & Arrival in Chania

The morning of Day 4 was dedicated to the Palace of Knossos, the heart of the Minoan civilization. We walked through ruins dating back to 1900 BC and delved into the legend of the Minotaur. 

A tour of Heraklion and its Archaeological Museum followed, offering insights into the city’s rich history. By afternoon, we arrived in Chania, a town brimming with historical charm.

Day 5: Chania’s Old Town & Venetian Harbor

We spent the morning of Day 5 exploring Chania‘s Old Town and Venetian Harbor. Our guide introduced us to the town’s storied past and vibrant culture, revealing the many civilizations that shaped its character.

Day 6: Elafonisi Beach

Day 6 took us to the breathtaking Elafonisi Beach, known for its clear blue waters and pink sand. We relished the stunning scenery and later savored traditional Cretan delicacies at a local restaurant.

Day 7: Gastronomy Tour of Cretan Villages

On Day 7, we ventured off the beaten path for a gastronomic tour of Cretan villages. We interacted with locals, tasted authentic Greek cuisine, and gained a deeper appreciation for the Cretan way of life.

Day 8: Leisure Day in Chania

Our last day in Crete was spent leisurely wandering the historical streets of Chania’s Old Town and enjoying its beautiful beaches.

Day 9: Arrival in Corfu

A short flight from Chania brought us to the picturesque island of Corfu. We were welcomed by a private driver who transferred us to our hotel. The evening was spent sipping drinks at an open-air café and experiencing the local tradition of the evening walk, known as the “volta”.

Day 10: Corfu Highlights Tour

Day 10 was a private tour of Corfu’s top attractions, including the Achillion Palace and Paleokastritsa. We explored the island’s UNESCO-listed Old Town, immersing ourselves in its rich history and vibrant culture.

Day 11: Free Day in Corfu

Day 11 was a free day, allowing us to relax and enjoy Corfu at our own pace. We soaked up the sun and made cherished family memories.

Day 12: Cruise to Paxos & Antipaxos

On Day 12, we embarked on a luxury catamaran cruise to Paxos and Antipaxos. The day was filled with exploration of the Blue Caves, swimming in turquoise waters, and discovering the unspoiled beauty of these islands.

Day 13: Departure from Greece

Our final day began with a delightful Greek breakfast in Corfu before heading to the airport. As we bid farewell to Greece, we reflected on the unforgettable experiences and the deepened family bonds forged during this incredible journey.
